Frequently Asked Questions

HA Mandelic Follicular Renew 3X, Why "3X"? +
Three actives, three jobs, happening at once: Mandelic Acid liquefies congestion, Hyaluronic Acid cushions moisture while it works, Gluconolactone resurfaces and hydrates simultaneously. "3X" names that triple mechanism, not a strength multiplier.
What's the difference between Mandelic Acid and Glycolic Acid? +
Mandelic Acid is a larger molecule than Glycolic Acid, which slows its penetration into skin and moderates irritation, the trade-off is a gentler, more gradual result rather than an aggressive fast one.
Can I use this toner if I have rosacea or very reactive skin? +
Independent clinical testing on Gluconolactone (one of this toner's actives) showed statistically significant improvement in erythema severity over 12 weeks in rosacea patients. That said, always introduce new actives slowly and check with your dermatologist if you have a diagnosed condition.
How soon will I see results on congestion? +
Most people notice smoother texture within 2–4 weeks of consistent use; deeper congestion may take longer and shouldn't be forced with more frequent application.
Will this help with blackheads and enlarged pores? +
Yes, the formula includes Green Cica Extract at 1%, shown in independent testing to support visible skin recovery within 24–48 hours, alongside Mandelic and Gluconolactone's follicular-clearing action.
Can I use it with other active products? +
Generally yes, Mandelic Acid and Gluconolactone are both gentler, larger-molecule acids, so they layer reasonably well with most routines. The main thing to avoid is stacking this with another strong exfoliating acid (like a high-percentage Glycolic or Salicylic product from another brand) on the same day, give your skin a day off in between if you're combining actives.
Can I use this toner if I'm also using a Retinol at night? +
Yes, but not in the same routine on the same night. Use the toner in the AM or on your Retinol's off-nights, combining two active exfoliating/renewing ingredients back-to-back can overload a barrier that's still adjusting.
Will this toner interfere with my sunscreen or make my skin more sun-sensitive? +
Unlike some AHAs, Gluconolactone (a PHA) hasn't been shown to increase sun sensitivity the way traditional AHAs can. That said, daily SPF is still essential with any exfoliating step in your routine, this doesn't change that rule.
Is it okay to use this toner right after cleansing, or should I wait? +
No wait needed, apply it directly after cleansing while skin is still slightly damp, which helps the formula absorb evenly.
Can I use this if I'm already using a physical scrub or exfoliating brush? +
We'd suggest picking one or the other, not both. This toner is already doing gentle chemical exfoliation, adding a physical scrub on top is likely to over-exfoliate and irritate, defeating the point of choosing a gentler formula in the first place.
Does this toner replace the need for a separate BHA (Salicylic Acid) product? +
Not entirely, this toner works on follicular congestion and texture through Mandelic Acid and Gluconolactone, while Oxygenating Pore-Reset 30 (your cleanser) already brings Salicylic Acid into the routine. Together, the two cover both angles without needing a third dedicated BHA product.
